EthStorage at EDCON2023 Wrap-up

EthStorage participated in EDCON2023, which was held in Montenegro from May 19th to 23rd. The team actively took part in key official events, organized separate events, and engaged in various activities.

EDCON is an annual global Ethereum conference that aims to foster exchange and interaction within the global Ethereum community while serving the Ethereum ecosystem. Each year, EDCON takes place in different countries or regions.

EthStorage — EDCON Super Demo 1st Place Winner

EDCON Super Demo, held as part of EDCON, provides a platform for startups or projects that promote the development of Ethereum technology and its ecosystem. Its purpose is to encourage technological innovation and promote the application and adoption of Ethereum and blockchain in the industry.

After intense competition, EthStorage emerged as the 1st place winner, gaining recognition and the opportunity to present EthStorage on the main stage, attracting significant attention from EDCON participants and the organizing community. Winning the Super Demo has generated numerous inquiries from various organizations, raising expectations for the expansion of the ecosystem and the adoption of use cases in the future.

EDCON Super Demo serves as a platform for projects that promote and advance Ethereum technology and its ecosystem. Out of 100+ teams, approximately 40 teams were given 15 minutes to present their projects to a panel of judges. At the end of the competition, the most innovative projects were awarded, and the top 3 teams were given the opportunity to showcase their projects to the world on the main EDCON conference stage.

World Supercomputer Summit 2023

The inaugural World Supercomputer Summit took place during the same week as EDCON 2023, bringing together individuals passionate about the idea of Ethereum’s world computer.

During the event, participants learned about how topologically heterogeneous p2p networks complement and offer Ethereum consensus boundless computation and storage power through zero-knowledge proof. The event featured experts in verifiable compute, generative AI, zkML, and more, including EthStorage, Hyper Oracle, Modulus Labs, Morph Studio, Poseidon ZKP, Privacy & Scaling Explorations Team, and Worldcoin.

The concept of the World Supercomputer emerged during EthDenver in February and remains a work in progress. Several research areas were outlined over the weekend to ensure comprehensive claims and considerations. The goal is to prioritize and support them through in-depth exploration in the coming months.

The World Supercomputer is a set of topologically heterogeneous peer-to-peer networks connected by a secure databus. While Ethereum consensus maintains its global ledger, the specialized networks scale compute and storage capacity. EthStorage is committed to supporting Ethereum as the World Computer and its ecosystem for the future of DeFi, zkML, AI x Crypto, and more

EDCON Community Day: Ethereum 2.0 — Towards World Supercomputer

As an invited speaker, EthStorage participated in the official event of EDCON2023, the Community Day, which had the theme “Ethereum 2.0 — Towards World Supercomputer.” This event took place on the 23rd at the main venue and was organized by web3buidler.tech. It consisted of a half-day session of technical speeches.

Web3 Builder DAO is a learning organization focused on exploring and sharing cutting-edge technologies and research reports related to web3. The event provided a significant networking opportunity for Chinese developers during EDCON. Keynote speeches were delivered by prominent projects like EthStorage and Hyper Oracle, and panel discussions shared valuable insights. Developers from China, fund researchers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) from well-known projects came together to discuss the future of technology and the concept of the World Computer.

The event was supported by DragonRoark, Avant Blockchain Capital, and Hyper Oracle.

ZK Community Breakfast

On May 23rd, the ZK Community Breakfast took place in collaboration with Cryptomeria Capital and zkPass. This event was especially beneficial for those interested in Zk, particularly Starknet. EthStorage gave a speech on the storage solution, and other speakers included Privacy Scaling, SpaceShard, Nethermind, AK Education, and Hyper Oracle.

DAO Montenegro

Anthurine, the CMO of EthStorage, participated as a panelist at the DAO Montenegro event held on May 22nd. The conference brought together global explorers of DAOs and network states to delve into cutting-edge topics, exchange experiences with practitioners from around the world, and collaborate on shaping the future of this field. With a focus on organizational challenges in the midst of a global crisis, the event explored various themes such as Transhumanism, DAO and its tools, Network States and Digital Nomads, and the Creator Economy in the Post-GPT Era.

The event featured three formats: Sharing and Presentations, Workshops, and Roundtable Discussions, providing attendees with diverse opportunities for engagement. Anthurine took the stage to introduce EthStorage to the participants, contributing to the knowledge-sharing and networking aspects of the conference. The DAO Montenegro event facilitated thought-provoking discussions and fostered collaborations within the DAO community, enabling attendees to gain insights, exchange ideas, and collectively shape the future trajectory of this dynamic field.

Online Engagements

Chinese Buidlers in Montenegro

On May 17th, Buidler DAO and Odyssey DAO joined forces to host the “Chinese Buidlers in Montenegro” session on Twitter Space. This event provided a platform for industry experts and community leaders to come together and discuss the crucial topic of finding a balance between decentralization and efficiency within communities.

The panel consisted of esteemed guests, including Anthurine, the CMO of EthStorage, Ebunker, DataverseOS, Nouns Chinese, Beep Crypto, and The Pass. Together, they explored various strategies and shared insights aimed at fostering the healthy growth of the Chinese Buidler community.

Montenegro EDCON2023 Recap Talk

Tusima invited eight outstanding speakers to share their experiences and views, bringing back the exciting moments of EDCON2023. The recap talks took place on Twitter Space on May 31st, Wednesday, and more than 900 listeners joined.
