EthStorage is Donating 1% of the Total Supply to ProtocolGuild
We’re happy to announce that we’ve taken the Protocol Guild Pledge (PGP) and committed 1% of our token supply to the members of @ProtocolGuild. This will support their ongoing stewardship of Ethereum.
We take pride in being the first Ethereum data availability (DA) enhancement project to adopt the PGP and dedicate efforts towards contributing to the development of the Ethereum ecosystem.
WHO WE ARE?
EthStorage is a modular and decentralized storage Layer 2 that offers programmable key-value storage powered by DA. It enables long-term DA solutions for rollups and opens up new possibilities for fully on-chain applications like games, social networks, AI, etc.
EthStorage received two grants from the Ethereum Foundation Ecosystem Program for data availability sampling and layer 2 research. We are grateful for the grants and this program provides us with an opportunity to also support others within the ecosystem.
WHAT IS PGP?
The @ProtocolGuild comprises over 160 core Ethereum maintainers who have consistently pushed the boundaries of what Ethereum can achieve. Its goal is to “make contributing to Ethereum L1 R&D economically rational on a risk-adjusted basis while avoiding capture”. Their remarkable contributions and support for projects like EthStorage have played a pivotal role in shaping the current landscape.

WHAT IS THE NEXT?
Our commitment to allocating 1% is a gesture of appreciation towards the core Ethereum maintainers for their outstanding contributions over the years. Ethereum still has significant research endeavors on its roadmap, including in areas such as Layer 2 support, ZK fraud proof, data availability, and decentralized storage. We’re excited to support Ethereum’s core protocol maintainers across their efforts and eager to collaborate with them on these key areas!
