EthStorage x ETHDenver Recap
On March 5, the largest Ethereum ecosystem event in North America, ETHDenver 2023, concluded with an exciting Hackathon Demo Day event. The event attracted nearly 40,000 people from around the world, with developers as the main participants.
EthStorage, as one of the major official sponsors of ETHDenver 2023, received wide attention during the event. Let’s review EthStorage’s impressive performance during the 10-day conference:
EthStorage was invited to participate in the conference and set up an EthStorage booth. It is worth mentioning that EthStorage appeared together with its ecosystem team to demonstrate its representative products and technical development history. The ecosystem projects include Hexlink, BlockEden.xyz, and Git3.
On March 2, the founder of EthStorage gave a keynote speech on expanding Ethereum storage at the main opening ceremony of ETHDenver. In the speech, he mentioned that reusing the security of the Ethereum mainnet and expanding the scalability of Ethereum is the main goal of Ethereum L2 solutions. Most existing L2 solutions, such as optimistic/ZK rollups, focus on expanding Ethereum’s computing power, i.e., processing more transactions per second. However, with the popularity of NFT/DeFi and other dApps, the demand for storing large amounts of data and reusing Ethereum mainnet security has sharply increased.
In response to these problems, the founder proposed his solution — EthStorage. EthStorage is the first Layer 2 solution that provides programmable dynamic storage based on Ethereum’s data availability. It can extend programmable storage to hundreds of TB or even PB level at 1/100 to 1/1000 of the cost. The team has twice won support from the Ethereum Foundation’s grants to help Ethereum conduct research on Data Availability and L2 dynamic dataset storage proofs using Ethereum L1 contracts.
On March 3, the founder of EthStorage gave a keynote speech and presentation at the R3al World: ETHDenver event hosted by IoTex. In the presentation, the founder elaborated on his vision for the future of dynamic programmable storage by building on Ethereum’s data availability.
On the evening of March 3, the founder of EthStorage held a technical sharing night called Infra & Middleware Meetup with NKN, Hyper Oracle, and Sentio in Downtown Denver.
At the invitation of BlockBeats, the founder of EthStorage participated in the BlockBeats “2023 Ethereum: Denver Conference Meets Shanghai Upgrade” Twitter Spaces on the morning of March 4. The founder said that as one of Ethereum’s largest ecosystems, Uniswap launched its open-source self-hosted mobile wallet. Currently, mainstream users use MetaMask, and other projects will soon also launch their own wallets, which may bring many new changes and opportunities.’
On March 4, the founder of EthStorage gave a keynote speech on the topic of web3:// URLs at the main venue of ETHDenver. web3:// is a decentralized HTTP protocol, registered by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority. Its implementation is based on ERC-4804, proposed by Dr. Zhou, which is the first network access protocol on Ethereum, and has just been approved by the final review by EIP editors. web3:// is used to locate and browse dynamic web pages on the EVM (including EthStorage), achieving a fully decentralized protocol from the front-end to the EVM to storage. web3:// can enable many new Ethereum applications, including decentralized Dropbox, decentralized Git, personal websites (such as Vitalik’s blog), decentralized non-custodial wallet front-ends, and more.
In addition, EthStorage also held a hackathon at ETHDenver, offering a $5,000 bounty program for developers.
